| i have heard fahmida Nabi's tagor songs.but i am surprised and telling her with my full respect that Tagor song is a uniqe piece.whatever i have read about his songs,and going through his songs,i found that it is a fullfill finished thing.every tune,words,theme,music is unchangable.cause his words and tune is co-related.Rabindra Nath Tagor expressed his feelings with tune and word equally.as a educated person,u don't need to change them.if u want to try experiment with anything then try on ur own song.why rabindra sangeet?for became famous quickly?i think she is famous enough.it was hurting me when i was hearing those song.supose one song "majhe majhe tobo dekha pai".this is a kirtan (folk) song.but she changed it totally as "ho-jo-bo-ro-lo".plz heard Bonna apa's this song,it will make u clear.if u head tagor song with ur feelings,u can catch it's internal composition.i think she haven't learnt songs.she sang with her own tune.some songs r totally different from original song.tagor has given notation to follow his songs.so if u obey him,or respect him,follow him.don't make experiment with these things.u have manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy things to do experiment.yes,u can change music pattern but not original tune!!!i am sorry but calling these songs as "fahmida thakur's song" |

| Couldn't agree bashori8. I had similar feelings about great works like that of tagore or Nazrul. But after I heard Jhilmil remix from I guess Anila, I changed my stance on this issue. You can always try to better a thing. Most of the times it may not click, but sometimes it will. So why not welcome anyone try that, specially someone of the stature of Fahmida.. |

bangla gaan hok hindi hok ba english ee hok. karon its the age of remixes and remakes.
old tune/gaan holo shuna gaan so public er mathai thakke akhon ey guli r modhey ektu catchy beats dille aru onek koti koti lok shune its like a drug.
everyone does it now and it sells. kintu amar ey point nah. point holo
mass public classic er c o bujhe nah kintu notun remakes r remixes shune. current music scene er jara khobor rakhe oder ey shob gaan bhalo lagle ora porey nijey e eytar upor research korey aru shikte parey.
classic like o shuru korte pare nah korley o admiration/respect/knowledge barey.
jokhon shunbe its derived from a tagore song they wud want to get the original. eyta one way educating the mass public.
karon kew kew asey muke tule khawai dille kichu bujhey nah. so amra jodi ekta gaan rey ghoshey meje abar life dittey pari to everyone who never bothered to listen to or learn about tagore's songs. amra kharap ki korchi?
modification and mimicry o ekta art.

sum ppl like to experiment or just brush up one of their fav old tunes

bashori8 u r right according to ur logic, and i think u r a blind fan of tagore, however, we all r.. but u don't need to b so strict 'bout this. wht was she trying to do was not bad, but unfortunately it did not actually turned out well, if u listen to the tagore song sung by some artists from kolkata u will find its a bit different from wht we hear in our country such as from bonna apa, but those r not wrong at all. so u should try to take this positively.
to depathic u wrote 'specially someone of the stature of Fahmida..' i hv something to say here.... we all know that she is a great singer. but that doesn't mean she is right always, we can always criticise their work, actually tht's what makes them to work better and better, isn't it? |

Why not palapain.me? There is no exclusivity abt Fahmida that she cannot be criticised. I agree. But you should also agree that she is a keen student of music, not any tom, d**k and harry...right?
