Here's the deal: I'm on leave from the company where I work for the month of September, and I have nothing to do. I'd love to teach whoever wants to learn how to play drums for almost free.
Why the almost? I am not working this month, so I am pretty much broke. Therefore, you're paying for the practice room (and not stealing my sticks or cigarettes). Ideally, I'd like to teach people in groups of four, where each person can pay 125 takas. All four students attend together and then afterwards we finish off with a discussion at my place. I prefer Oloukik in Banani because it's close by.
Who is this good for? Pretty much any playing level. I'm going to be concentrating more on stylistics and philosophies of playing rather than straight up technique. We all have something to learn from one another. I'm looking forward more to an open dialogue than teaching you RLRRLRLL. At th same time, if you've never played before, this shouldn't keep you from coming. Like I said, we all have something to learn from one another.
This is a test. If September goes well, then once I return from a trip abroad in November (and start working again), I'll probably start some kind of open forum where we can trade ideas. But if you want to learn, you should be able to pay this minimum amount.
I'll also probably have other drummer friends over to discuss ideas, which should be a lot of fun.
