bp: hakka is right...yeah, mostly in big cities like London or NYC, u've all these local organizations (for example: narayanganj shomiti or dhaka mohashomiti..etc. etc....) and then u've all these elections...then again u've BNP and AL too besides other small ones....don't u think there sould be ONE BIG organization called Bangla Shomiti (not based on which area u r from?lol.) I'm pretty there r committees and groups w/ names like bangladeshi shomiti...but they hardly do anything that they can truly do w/ all the unity. anyway, enough said.
i particularly hate this whole issue on speaking only in Bangla. English niyei shobar beshi shomossha. Frankly, being able to speak Bangla is no less important than being able to speak English (this comment particularly goes to young students in Bangladesh who are almost fed with the fact that ppl who speaks English r just a 'show off' and they are just westernized...not saying it's totally wrong..but at the same time I believe that it's possible to be able to speak English fluently and live upto Bangladeshi culture). eishob kotha age bolsi naki? mone hoitese bolsi! lol..anyway.  |

@asifgone: ya i agree that unity thaka uchit... its useless to have seperate groups...
r bangladesh e thakar shomoi to emon shuni nai j english jara bole tara show off kore or westernized hochche..coz ami bangladesh e choto bela thekei english medium e chilam..but that doesnt mean ami sharajibon english e kotha bole giyechi... (amarder school e amra chance pelei or teacher er shatheo banglai kotha boltam-jodio ami bangla essay r grammer e khub kacha  ) ... ppl who say such thing dont know anything .. thats simply bias and prejudice.. i guess... english bolo r banglai bolo.. show off jokhon kore keu tokhon bujha jai j korche....
@shafkaitta: lolzz....ekhane jara recently canadai eshechey..they know bangla koto important... 
as for people born here... jara ache ekhane...ora bangladesh e na giyeo bangla eto valo jane... :O  its amazing... jodio banglai kotha bole na.. (its natural... je vashai easy hoi) but onek valo bolte pare.. as in amar cheyeo valo...
