Members:
Wasiun – [Lead Guitars] – He’s got fingers that move like an ant’s feet!! Seriously! People say that his aim is to become a hafez in playing Malmsteen. He’s been through every album and every song of that guy. He has a golden Fender Strat guitar that he has customized - or rather - tortured to fit his needs. Though this has not been declared officially but it has been heard that at times he spends as long as 10-12 hours with his guitar at home.
Adnan – [Rythm Guitars] – Though he and Wasiun play the same instrument, this guy is quite different. Very quiet and reserved, hardly says a word. Well, hanging around with the band has changed his attitude to some extent. No, not in any way his parents wouldn’t approve of. People would take him to be a real band person, judging by his long hair. But the guy hardly moves on stage!! It’s all cool though, because he’s a handy guy to have around. He can play the guitars, the drums and the keyboards.
Nahian – [Bass] – Spends a lot of time with his bass hence plays a lot of things. He’s also good with the guitar, but hasn’t been able to play along with Victor Wooten’s Bass Day video yet.
Nazim – [Drums] – Mike Portnoy? Or Jaska? Nazim is confused about who he wants to be. He has idolized a lot of people so far and follows or keeps up with them as best as he can. Most of us would agree that he’s the most hardworking of us all. And he needs to be too! Considering the bone breaking playing he’s got to do every time we get together.
Diep – [Keyboards and Vocals] – Errmm… likes to imitate Alexi’s voice. People tell him he’s good at it. We all have a good laugh when he occasionally tries to reach impossible high scales. Doesn’t regard himself as much of a keyboardist. And he prides himself in having a versatile voice.
Future Plans:
To release a few of our own tracks in the mixed albums that come out off and on nowadays. And continue performing in concerts with rare and progressively difficult tracks.
Mentionable Gigs:
Obviously our first one... we had a problem with our bassist (Nahian). He couldn't show up at the concert for some reason. We had to give Xahid (40pcs Of Silver) a crash course and make him play in that concert.
Another one was at CRC in The End concert. We had a lot of support and a lot of cheering. The crowd was really singing along as we played. That doesn't come by anymore that often. It’s gone quite the opposite for us in terms of slot times.
Message from the band:
It feels good to see that people appreciate the kind of music that we do these days. The numbers are much more than they used to be. Rather than being dismissed as "chilla chilli" and "haaoww caaoww" it feels good to be recognized as musicians to some extent. It's really tough what we do and takes more dedication and effort to accomplish what little we have done so far. We would like the people who see us to take a deeper look at what we do and try to understand what it involves and most of all...what it really is!!
To give the UNDERGROUND a taste of something good and to help them raise the standard of their/our music is what we want. Let's not take it easy guys. We know it doesn't come just like that. Let’s give it all we've got and be satisfied with nothing but perfection!
