| Recently I was listening to Paban Das Baul's album TanaTani and Inner Knowledge and I liked the Inner knowledge very very much. Because TanaTani was just a fusion with the baul song and dance beat. In contrast, Inner Knowledge is authentic. When meeting people from other countries, they often asks what's the kind of our own music. This kind of fusion music or band music is not our identity, they says it just the modern trend and everywhere in the world it's the same. But what about your own music, own songs? Then I find that these Baul songs, folk songs, Rabindra and Nazrul songs are the authentic songs that we can be proud of... |
