Citycell Channel I award was given today in Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center.
And when we heard Prayer hall won the best band award we've called them up to congratulate them and asked about their reaction!

Awards were given in 20 catagories chosen by a special panel of juries.
Among the winners are :
Best Rabindro Shongeet Artist : Oditi Mohsin [Barota Peyechi Mone Mone]
Best Nazrul Shongeet Artist: Yasmin Mushtari [Modhu Hashini]
Best Debut Artist : Ishrat Mitu [Ek Jochonar Odhikar]
Best Folk Artist : Bari Siddiki [Baashi]
Best Lyricist : Asif Iqbal [Bondona - Shunil Boruna]
Best Music Director : Prince Mahmud [Bondona]
Best Artist : Khalid [Debi - Track : Himaloy]
Best Band : Prayer Hall [Bujhcho?]
Best Film Song : Bhalo Bashbo Bashbo Re [Hridoyer Kotha]
Best Music Video : Rommyo Rahman Shironamhin - Paakhi]
Best Album Cover : Arnob [Hok Kolorob]
Best Sound Engineer : Masudul Hasan [Moon - Paper]
Also this time their was a special catagory "By popular Choice" where winners were selected by SMS from fans. and the winners are :
Popular Band : Artcell
Popular Debut Artist : T.W. Shoinik [Tumi Amar Ghum]
Popular Artist : Mahadi [Bondona]

Khalid and PrayerHall really deserve it.
But I think Best Debut Artist category should have been given to Soinik....
He really Rocks the nation with his single track.... |
