The same old Zombie story. This storylineis quite medicore. Though Will Smith's acting was amazing, which makes the movie worth seeing. 2.75 out of 5

U guyz do realize this movie is an adaptation of the 1954 sci-fi novel "I Am Legend" by Richard Matheson. The previous two adaptations of the novel are Last Man on Earth (1964) and The Omega Man (1971). Both those movies deviate from the novels storyline significantly. However, the latest I Am Legend movie is the closest to the original story in the novel. The only difference is the disease's origin (in the movie it's a cure for cancer) and the time the story takes place (the novel says it takes place in the 70's). Considering the major similarity to an out-dated science fiction book, I think Francis Lawrence and of course Will Smith did an excellent job and made a fantastic movie, in a genre (post-apocalyptic) which has been visited by countless superb movies over the years.
