what do u guys think abt Cradle of filth's latest release???
did they do a good job at changing all of those songs???
did they make the songs too heavy????
What i liked abt COF (apart from Dani's lyrics and vocals) was their precise use of atmosphere in all of their songs, Gregorian chants and stuff....... u know..
Making their previous songs heavier in Eleven Burial Masses eleminated all that and made the songs sound too much like heavy matal and that's not what a COF song should be like.
Those great lyrics demand something softer. the lyrics don't poses that agresion. the earlier COF songs sounded to me to be exactly what they should be. the music should have a lamenting, desperate, and mysterious rhythm that are present in both lyrics and vocals. we should be able to feel the emotions being expressed in the lyrics by the music and the style of throwing the vocals. the music and even dani's vocals left me speechless(in the bad sense). i'm very disheartened to find that after so many years of success COF is slowly starting to decline.
