sadly he didnt recover. he was on life support and died a few hours ago.he died a few hours ago.
prayers for his souls and condolences to his family.

Shanjib Chowdhury critically ill

Shanjib Chowdhury, vocalist of one of the most popular bands in Bangladesh Dalchhut, is critilly ill. He is on life support at Apollo Hospital.
Bappa Mazumder and Shanjib Chowdhury formed Dalchhut in November 1996. In 1997, Dalchhut released their first album, titled Ah! Dalchhut's second album, 'Hridoypur' soon became a hit. Several popular songs of this album titled Ami tomakei bole dibo, Gari cholena, Bioscope and others were rendered by Shanjib.
Moreover, Shanjib was a journalist. He was the feature writer of many well-esteemed Bangla dailies such as Bhorer Kagoj.

Gari Chole na, Gari Chole na, Chole na re....
Seven years ago, this song of his rocked Bangladesh. Sanjib Chowdhury, one half of Dolchut, is no longer with us. He passed away this morning (18th Nov, 2007) leaving a legacy which will be remembered forever. He touched our lives with his unique style of singing, his wonderful lyrics and his great partnership with Bappa Majumder.
Our tribute to a true gem of Bangladeshi Music. We rerember Sanjib Chowdhury.
May Allah Bless His Soul.. |
