Hello everyone, this is Shorboda - a band born from a passion for music and knack for experimentation. Most of you might not know us as we haven't had any releases yet, hence the reason for this post.
We come here today with the world premiere of Niralay. Originally a slow, acoustic rock song, Niralay was the brainchild of Ninas and Shishir (dNA) sometime in 1998-99. It is a song that was born out of pain, loss, and frustration....much like many other emotional rock songs/ballads.
The song has since developed, having had instrumentals and harmonies added on to the original composition with Bid's help and technological expertise. What you hear now is the close-to-final concept of the song that will eventually be recorded at a professional studio to make it's debut on Shorboda's album.

Aro akta demo add korlam. This song actually has a different tune, but we were up late and having fun with the song and came up with a few different versions of it. From that those few, this is the most entertaining one, me thinks. Once again, this song is originally a rock ballad, but this my friends is a take on a Phantom of the Opera (aka POTO) version.

One more time. This time it is an acoustic French song. The song is originally by Indochine. Ninas did the acoustic version for a French class. This is way before I learnt audio production, so what you hear is actually recorded in one single shot. (I think this is one track that took us the least amount of time. What do you say Ninnu, 10 minutes?)

This is fun. Ok, this is one of the two products of a 4 hour jamming session of Ninas and Monir. This is old old old old old stuff, but the results of this jaming session is what led us to Shorboda in the first place. This is the smaller of the two. Just pure instrumental. The recording quality is not too shabby, the levels are all off, but I still like it. So I want you to give it a try.

Ok, onek ghete ghute ber kora. This is an intrumental piece that Ninas came up with quite a while bad. Since we mentioned we'll post it, we tried to clean it up a bit, but it's old school recording, so you have to let the quality side. Enjoy.

hehe, ami pochafy kortei pari.  Guys, I'm telling you..SHORBODA ROCKS! They are USA based band, actually 3 jon NERD er band, jara fulltime geek aar part-time musician. lol..!! Ekhane bosheo je bhalo gaan kora jay, eto bhalo lyrics er gaan kora jay, Shorboda taar proman. I've personally had the honor to listen to few of their songs, ebong since then ami taader fan hoye gechi.  Their songs are amazing! Ei Eid ey Shironamhin er Zia'r organize kora ekta mixed band album "Niyon Alay Shagotom" ber hote jachche, ebong Shorboda nij joggotay oi album ey jayga kore niyeche ei shudur USA thekeo!!!! Shorboda'r ekti plus point holo er lyrics. Very psychedelic and at the same time very personal. Gosh, i can just go on and on and on about them...  yeah, you can tell how much I love their work.
Bid, dont get all happy reading the above statement. coz i still dont like you. may be i can dislike you a little less if you give us a couple more demos or a longer version of Niralay.  |

Echara aro koyek jon friend - Anand, Ram & Pai - achey who helps us with the recordings and the shows. (Btw, MP free show at Peachtree Ridge High School in late October).

how come i didn't get to listen to "shorboda"s any other tracks beside kuwasha before? 
am i not special enough?

Thank you, thank you, Numb Apu. We're hoping to add more keys to the final product (there are no keys in there as of now), ..and use real drums  . Dekha jaak insha'allah ki hoy. Du-haat-er doshta angul crossed rakhchhi (don't ask how) . |
