Here's a preview of one of the songs that hopefully Poonam will sing, God willing, in her upcoming album that would be arranged by Fuad Al Muqtadir.
Lyrics & Tune is by me...Upol. And the demo is also sung by me....please pardon my defected guitar playing and outdated voice.

Upol bhai, Apnar lyrics er kono tulona nei. Absolutely wonderful. onek meaningful and mon dea shunte hoi, not at all like 'ami-tumi-tumi-ami' kind :-P

the other day while listening to some of upol's songs my husband said - "ei cheler rokte gaan. maa er pet thekei shey gaan shune ashche. no surprise he turned out to be such a great singer''
i think that ^^^ pretty much sums up everything that cud be said about upol. and as an added bonus we also get those amazing lyrics and tunes by him |

first...let me thank you guys for your compliments
maya...amar pokkho theke apnar husband ke thanks diyen. Regarding my lyrics...it could also be linked to my genes...my father Hena Islam was a renown lyricist (college er corridor-e, forest hill-er, amar golpo shune, mon poboner nao...etc). There fore bottom line is...ami actually kichui na. shob kichu paribarik shutre dhaar kora...hehe.
mp...amio opekkhai asi...Poonam is a great singer no doubt about that. opekkha shudhu...surprised howar. but....duet howar kono chance nai...

As soon as I see the name "Upol Islam" beside any song, I know that I'm about to hear something unique and meaningful. "Praachin" er kotha gulo OSHADHARON, aar apnar guitar works... amaaazing!! Golar kaaj er kotha baad jabe keno... i repeat what Maya apu's husband said.
lets see how good Poonam can pull it off. She's got an amazing voice. Any chance of making it a duet may be?  |
