Its Punom all the way. and of course Anila. But why there is no Simin in the list? Her work with Raaga is sufficient to be in the list.
Punom has the great advantage over others that her compositions are mind blowingly mesmerizing . Just listen Maya or Bhabte Paro. The one who can write such a song and sing that in the way she did, is just unbelievable. Arafat and Imran are very scrupulous about voices and I am sure she is going to do a fantastic job with TWB.
Anila, on the other hand, has the back ground of classical songs which she blends perfectly with the western music. Brishty kobor bhejai- is sufficient for me to be in love with her. Her inherent melody in the voice is a gift to any singer and Fuad uses that perfectly.
Simin, a true "rocker" if you say than the other two. Her "sriti" in Raaga is mesmarizing, Ojana moje in Yaatri is Fabolous, Tumi hina and Protibader kotha with Fuad is out of the world. An amazing artist yet so underrated!
The fourth in my list is not a "rocker". But Her lyrics and her voice made her more than a rocker. She is Shahana Bajpayee.
These are the four for me. Now I have to make a list whom i should marry first, but again, no rush, as in Islam, charta biye jayez ache. |

It's not Fuad's Poonam, It's THE Punom from Prayer Hall. Fuad er Poonam hole to oke biye korar ashar jonno pedophile bhebe amake police dhore niye jeto! So, the album is obviously Bujhcho?!!. You can also check her song with Sumon in Boka Manushta. That one is "sesh".
Brishty Kobor Bhejai, is from the band Kranti. They have quite a number of marvelous songs. Check those out if you haven't yet. |
