a lots of rain song. a lots of memory.
Did you ever think about why rain render our soul? what's in that? Right now it's raining outside. and also inside.
My favorite rain song is, of Janala Khola by Srikanto. I know its first priority is love rather than the rain itself. But isn't that a rain song is all about? Its the words between a "obhimani meye"[1] and her "prio manush"[2]. The rain came as an adjective to relieve the misunderstanding and untold words between them. And, the way it did that, with the "dushto hawa" first gave the peek in the window and sudden drops of rain, really really amazing. The melancholy voice of Sreekanto give the song the touch- the way it is needed.
Another favorite of mine, is Brishty rate by none other than Ornob. It's again not about rain. it's the world around a rainy night. Shahana Bajpayee, expressed magnificently with her wonderful prowess of literacy magic, all the details of the rise of the dormant inner feeling from the busy urban life. " সময় শুধু মোমের মত পোড়ে, ভাবনাগুলো মেঘের সাথে ওড়ে।"
