its sort of hard to judge...
yes they are different, but i guess which one is better is something that depends much more on the listener than the music...
i personally love the direction they have taken with the new album |

thnx for ur posting "sabvosky".....i personally think onnoshomoy was better.....better in terms of wat we expected from artcell....onnoshomoy was far better dan our expectation.....which meant we wanted sth even greater in oniket prantor......i dont think we got it....
moreover i felt onnoshomoy showed some kinda individuality....a new stream started by artcell.......but oniket prantor doesn't show the continuity....after listenin to the whole album i felt it was higly influenced by bands like metallica and creed....onnoshomoy on the other hand sounded unique......
but u myt b ryt "sabvosky"....may b its da listener....may b i m not a fan of the direction artcell has taken wit da new album....
but nevertheless the class of "oniket prantor" is undeniable....keep rockin guys........ |

hmm, first of all... i liked the album cover of onnoshomoy than oniket prantor. :evil: onnoshomoy's cover went perfectly with their genre. i hvn't got to see the back n forth of oniket prantor's cover YET, but so far.. featuring group member's pictures ON THE FRONT of the album, i didnt the find the point of it!! u dont do that to a rock album! 
however, i liked the album title better this time. "oniket-prantor" ... as artcell synonymed "thikana bihin jayga".. has a deeper meaning to it. n if u listen to the lyrics carefully, u can relate to a place like that in every single song! i found that really... ARTCELLic. :evil: 
now... songs of onnoshomoy... seriously, for da first time we heard bangla rock like that. so unquestionably they rocked! but this time, in 3 n half yrs artcell got competetion as well as pressure to keep their standard and to respect fan's expectations. and keeping the fans waiting for the album for freakin 6 months, it raised their (fan's) expectations sky high as all the newspapers, magazines, music programs, music websites talked about the album with a great anticipation. so when it finally got released, fans had mixed reaction about the songs. I, personally, got HEART BROKEN when i FIRST heard all the songs (ya.. true..  ) as dhushor shomoy melted my heart the first time i listened to it, which was like a long long time ago.  now dont get me wrong here. i DID NOT expect oniket prantor to be filled with soft rocks (i'll kill u if anyone says that dhushor shomoy was aurthohin typa song!!). but still.. its ARTCELL!!! we always want something totally out-of-this-world stuff from em!!!  although they said it right after onnoshomoy was released that they will try to give something "different" to the fans in their next album.. keeping it in the mind that they r "progressive rock". i think artcell has been succeed to keep their words. after listening to oniket prantor over and over again, now that the lyrics have set in my head... music had got into my heart... i can appreciate the talent n uniqueness oniket-prantor has brought with it! artcell now set up a new standard thru ONIKET PRANTOR.

Artcell, u will never see "bishader chokh" of ur fans and wellwishers. NEVER!!!!!!! |

both the album rocks .no doubt abt ht.......
onoshomoy is one of the ,prolly the best band album of bd underground history.......still oniket prantor awsome also
the difference between onoshomoy and oniket prantor is.....
the songs of onnoshomoy has chorus .but ull find hardly a chorus in da new album........so uve to listen it again nd again to stuck da song in ur head.and when ull do tht.......matha theke ar nambei na |
