Band’s Name: SENTINELS
Reason of naming: Sentinel is a Mythical Creature. They are believed to be protectors of Ancient Roman Heroes. For us, it is like protecting THE MUSIC – the type of music that we like.
Genre and Covers: Our genre is pure METAL – though we sometime step outside it for some reasons. We cover – Slayer, RockStratA, Ozzy, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Angeldust, Megadeth, Dio, Manowar, Warfaze, Overkill, etc.
History: We were some high school gang who loved metal and believed that METAL RULES over everything else! So we gave birth of our band. The name Sentinels was the name of Kazi’s elder brother’s band, which was formed at 1994, and disbanded at somewhere at the 98 cuz they got busy with their careers. So we decided to give rebirth to Sentinels and it happened at the beginning of 2001.
Line-up: Kazi had a band with him playing the guitar, Zico in bass, Imon in drums and Shumon Bhai in another guitar. They needed a vox so they caught Arif. After Arif’s arrival the band got into a STUDY PROBLEM and Imon, Zico and Shumon vai had to leave the band for their studies. So Arif switched into bass and Zico brought Bappi to play drums. It was at the beginning of 2001. In another guitar we had Tutul to play. Tutul had to leave soon cuz his father got him involved into their family business. Then we had Nizam and then Mahi to play guitars for us. Meanwhile Imon got back from abroad to join the gang again. We also included Shofi to play keyz for us. The Present line up is long but itz now as the following:

Arif: Bass and Vocal
Shofi: Keyboard
Imon: Drums
Shoshi: Drums
Saibu: Keyboard
Guest Artists: Shafeen (Scarecrow), Omi, Sabbir, Auntu.
First Composition: Dhushor Bastob
First Gig: September 30, 2001 - @ DBC.
Memorable Gigs: EVERY SINGLE ONE OF ‘EM !!!...
Memorable Moment: Crowd singing Enter Sandman with us.
Favorite Venue: RCC
Influences: HIZ OZZ-majesty OZZY -prince of darkness- OSBOURNE, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Dio and on and on, Kamal Bhai, Russel Ali, Babna Bhai, Imran Bhai, Sunjoy Bhai…
Future Plan: Release SentinelS self titled album.
Tracks n stuff: Dhushor Bastob, Niroy, Oshur Shotta, Sritir Pata, etc. So far 8 has completed.
